Project Overview
Finnish Painting completed the painting scope on a light remodel at Amira Choice of Champlin, a 138-bed senior living facility, focused on refreshing key interior spaces while the building remained fully occupied.
Because residents and staff were present throughout the project, maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful work environment was just as important as delivering a high-quality finished product.
Scope of Work
Our team performed interior repairs, finishes, and specialty installations across multiple areas of the facility, including:
– Patching and repainting hallways, stairways, and community rooms
– Wallcovering installation on columns and accent walls
– Ceiling and entry upgrades, including:
– Removal of popcorn ceiling
– Installation of expansion joints
– Application of knockdown texture
– Finish painting
All work was carefully phased and coordinated to minimize disruption to residents and daily operations.
Challenges
Working in an occupied senior living facility required a high level of planning, communication, and professionalism.

– Managing more complex scope elements (such as the entry renovation) while keeping the space functional
The entry work, in particular, required precise sequencing to allow continuous access while completing popcorn texture removal, retexturing, and painting.
